"My grandfather used to say that once in your life you need a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman and a preacher but everyday, three times a day, you need a farmer."
Is your farm ready to join the Caney Fork Farms family of growers?
The Caney Fork Farms network succeeds as a mutually beneficial partnership between rural farmers with larger acreages and smaller organic growers in metropolitan areas. Currently, we offer a two-year apprenticeship focusing on intensive market gardening.
We are also planning trainings in Regenerative Grazing, On-farm Carbon Monitoring, and Organic Orchard Agroforestry. Click below to get on our mailing list and be the first to hear about future opportunities.
“We have lived our lives by the assumption that what was good for us would be good for the world. We have been wrong. We must change our lives so that it will be possible to live by the contrary assumption, that what is good for the world will be good for us. And that requires that we make the effort to know the world and learn what is good for it.”
― Wendell Berry, The Long-Legged House
