Cozy Winter Cooking from the Farm Kitchen
With a high of 68 degrees today, it may not feel like winter just yet. Still, our veggie and crops team has been busy prepping and planting with colder months in mind, so our CSA family and market customers can continue enjoying the best of what year-round organic growing has to offer.
Having you in our CSA is truly a perk for us. We get to care for our fields and plant for the future knowing that you and your families are quite literally reaping what we sow. We are constantly blown away by how you turn our produce into works of art that nourish bodies and souls alike. Seeing your creativity in the kitchen makes our hearts happy, and we learn from you all the time.
When it comes to some of the more unique or esoteric looking items, like kohlrabi, that is where we love to step in with a little extra guidance. Each week, CSA pickup reminder emails include recipe cards, and watching you try those recipes, tag us, and make them your own is what this whole thing is about.
Since kohlrabi will be showing up more as winter rolls on, we wanted to share a couple more ideas to help you feel confident using it. Below are two simple, flexible recipes that highlight just how versatile this humble brassica can be.
And a quick reminder. If you have not already, request to join our CSA Facebook page. It is a hub for sharing recipes, swapping ideas, and connecting with other members of this special community. We would love to see you there!

Kohlrabi may look unfamiliar at first glance, but once you get to know it, it becomes one of those CSA vegetables you reach for again and again. Whether roasted and cozy or crisp and fresh, it is a quiet workhorse of the winter kitchen.
