The Plants: Certified Organic Produce
What We Grow
At Caney Fork Farms, we produce a wide variety of produce. From hand-picked veggies to fall chestnuts, we provide healthy, local food to our community all year long.
Organic Vegetables
Nutrition and flavor meet sustainability in our farm’s organic vegetable fields. From the meticulous care of our market garden to our more mechanized field crops, we take pride in cultivating fresh, nutrient-dense, hand-picked veggies all year round. Available in our CSA, at the farmers market, and found on the menu with our restaurant partners, you’ll fall in love with our local, seasonal vegetables.
Chestnuts
Ah, the mighty chestnut. Learn more about this historically and ecologically impactful crop that has played a pivotal role in shaping traditions and sustaining ecosystems. With over 1,500 chestnut trees planted on our farm, we are excited to reintroduce chestnuts as a staple crop to the Southeast.
Herbs
Elevate your weekly meals with our wide variety of sun-soaked, hand-picked, organic herbs. Basil, thyme, mint, parsley, dill, sage, marjoram, and more! The culinary and medicinal benefits are endless with a fresh handful of herbs from Caney Fork Farms. Available seasonally through our CSA, at the farmers market, and on menu with our restaurant partners.
Grains & Pulses
Our budding organic grain program combines the best of regenerative organic farming and community collaboration. As proud collaborators in both the Cumberland River Seed Commons and the Ohio Valley Grain Exchange, we are cultivating a sustainable regional grain-shed that supports farmers, bakers, millers, and home-cooks. Our grains will be available in our CSA, at the farmers market, on our online store, and in restaurants near you!
Compost
We combine manure, plant scraps, weeds, tree trimmings, and more to create deep, biologically active compost. Our compost is an elixir for life on our farm, stimulating the growth of beneficial bacteria and fungi that in turn feed our veggies, pastures, and trees.
We’re Certified
“Organic” is more than a label; it’s a promise to cultivate goodness from the ground up. When we say we’re certified organic, we mean we prioritize the health of the land, the well-being of our crops, and ultimately, the nourishment of those who enjoy our harvest.
